ASSEMBLY BILL 1642 (Salas) Would, until January 1, 2028, exempt from The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) a well project, that meets specified conditions. The bill would require a lead agency, before determining that a well project is exempt from CEQA to contact the state board to determine whether claiming the exemption will affect the ability of the well project to receive federal financial assistance or federally capitalized financial assistance.
